This small sculpture is called Shortwing. She is the Queen of the Butterflies. She has the secret aura that brings the butterflies to her path, and they catch her hands.
Shortwings has wings of oxidized copper with labradorite stones at the top. Her body is sterling silver, cut and fabricated from a sheet of silver. Her cape is covered with turquoise stones. A small carnelian sits in her hair. The necklace is of a strand of jade and a strand of turquoise.
Her face is of carved mammoth fossil. The fossil material is found in northern Canada and St. Lawrence island off Alaska. It was carved in Bali.
