This is 1 3-4 in wide and 2 inches high. The sterling silver has been textured to give it a unique look.
The picture jasper is shades of mauve and is bezelled on silver with silver wire. The color of the stone works well with the colors of the texture of the wood.
Picture jasper is an Agate with bands of colors. With just a bit of imagination, one sees landscapes scenes in the stone. Usually found in the mountains of Eastern Oregon.
The metal catch on the back allows the wearer to slide the pendant on the braided leather cord to the best position on each wearing.
The affection that Westerners feel for the bolo tie was clear in legislation passed in New Mexico that designated the bolo as the state's official neckwear - for both men and women. (Arizona made the bolo tie its official neckwear in 1971.) After dismissing conventional ties as awkward and dull for ''gentlemen of fashion,'' the New Mexico legislature decreed that the bolo tie was welcome at all state occasions. The bill praised the bolo as ''an excellent decorative tie allowing individual eccentricity and individual flair while providing for all a dash of elegance.'
